Glory to God!

“Give glory to the Lord your God.” (Jeremiah 13:16)

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:14)

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

“Thou art, verily, the God of glory, the God of power, the God of knowledge and wisdom. No God is there beside Thee, the Great Giver, the All-Bountiful, the Almighty, the Ever-Forgiving.;” (Prayers and Meditations by Bahá’u’lláh CV)

He is the Creator through His Word.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.” (John 1:1-4)

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;” (Acts 17:24-25)

“Thou didst, through a word of Thy mouth, bring creation into being and fashion the universe. There is none other God except Thee, the Fashioner, the Creator, the Almighty, the Most Powerful.” (Prayers and Meditations by Bahá’u’lláh IV)

“It is clear and evident, therefore, that the first bestowal of God is the Word, and its discoverer and recipient is the power of understanding. This Word is the foremost instructor in the school of existence and the revealer of Him Who is the Almighty. All that is seen is visible only through the light of its wisdom. All that is manifest is but a token of its knowledge. All names are but its name, and the beginning and end of all matters must needs depend upon it.” (Bahá’u’lláh, The Tabernacle of Unity, p. 4)

His Creation is good.

“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:31)

“Every good thing is of God, and every evil thing is from yourselves.” (Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh LXXVII)

He created people in His own image.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27)

“I have perfected in every one of you My creation, so that the excellence of My handiwork may be fully revealed unto men.” (Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh LXXV)

God has free Will, and He created people with free will―the ability to obey or disobey Him―and it is to our benefit to obey.

“… till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.” (Daniel 5:21)

“I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.” (Psalm 40:8)

“For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.” (Mark 3:35)

“And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.” (1 John 2:17)

“Thy Lord, verily, doeth what He willeth and ordaineth what He pleaseth.” (The Summons of the Lord of Hosts p. 153)

“It behooveth thee to consecrate thyself to the Will of God.” (Gleanings from the Writings of Bahá’u’lláh CLX)

“There is no paradise, in the estimation of the believers in the Divine Unity, more exalted than to obey God’s commandments…” (Selections from the Writings of the Báb p. 79
